tutorial 4_advanced layering

Now, we are going to do the last step of the e-wallpaper.

im going to find a cube to put in the building photo into the cube.


Press Ctrl+X to cut the contents to the cube.

Choose Filter > Vanishing Point. I use the Vanishing Point filter to draw a perspective plane that matches the dimensions of the box.

With the Create Plane tool, which is selected by default, click the upper-left corner of the front of the box to begin defining the plane.

Continue drawing the plane by clicking each corner of the box side. Click the last corner to complete the plane. When you complete the plane, a grid appears on the front of the box and the Edit Plane tool is automatically selected. I adjust the size of this grid at the top of the dialog box using the Edit Plane tool.

With the Edit Plane tool selected, press Ctrl and drag the center point of the left side of the plane, extending the plane along the side of the box. As the grid displays on the side of the box, the grid on the front face disappears, but its blue border remains.

Use the Edit Plane pointer to adjust corner points to refine your plane, as needed.

Press Ctrl+V to paste the building that i have cut just now onto the grid. 

Drag the picture to the the side that i want. 

I click alt to copy the picture so that i can wrap the cube with the building picture.

after that, i change the opacity to MULTIPLY, the opacity, i changed it to 50%. 

then, i merge the 2 layers by selecting  the 2 layers, the right click, MERGE LAYERS. then i name the layer as building cube.

then i selected the cube that i have edit, to the wallpaper that i have did last tutorial. i put it at the right up corner.

 next, i also merge the car layer into one layer same as the one that i used for building cube.

tutorial 3_retouching & enhancing

Now is the time to do retouch & enhance the photo... i used several ways that tutor has taught. now let's see what can i come up with, I'll going step by step :)

1) Now i choose the texture pic as background. then i duplicate the layer, set the blending mode as multiply, opacity as 70%

2) at this layer, i use the gradient tool to make the up right corner brighter and left bottom corner darker.

3) Then i add in a beetle car. which was originally looked like the pic above. then, i named this layer as “Car” and set its blending mode to “multiply” and you will have the following effect:

4) Dupliate the “Car” layer twice. On the “Car Copy” layer, Gaussian Blur settings. blending mode as overlay.

5) Then on the “Car Copy 2″ layer, go to Filter > Artistic >Watercolor. Blending mode= screen, opacity=66%

6) Make  a duplicate of the previous Gradient Fill layer, drag it to the top and right-click on the layer, choose “create clipping mask” and set its blending option to “overlay”.

7) i used the previous "people" picture, then make it to the solid color, by using brush tool.

8) Fom open day.

On the text layer, apply the following layer blending options:

Outer Glow

Inner Glow:

9) then i adding the details in.

10) lastly, i move in the MMU logo. but the background was quite dark, and i can't see the black color words  clearly. so i want to make the black color word brighter. i select the pixels 1st. then, i use polygonna lasso tool to select the words only. then i place shift while select another part of it. after that, i press crtl + i to inverse the color. 

the "MULTIMEDIA UNIVERSITY, & TM" was in black color.

1st steps towards proposal.

Well, here are some initial steps towards final assignment for Digital Media 1. After lecturer, Dr. Ken Neo introduce us about how to start for our assignment, we straight away elect a tutorial leader during our tutorial class. After that we choose the title for our assignment. The assignment is about Promotes Tourism- Malaysia Holiday Destination in Malaysia. Next, our tutorial group wanna choose food and state as the choice of title. But at the end, state become the title of our final assignment. Before that, we named our group as NEMO.Whereas for our assignment group, we took Penang as the state and we are going to do the website relating to "Visit Penang- Bukit Bendera"which is about promoting Bkt Bendera ( Flag Hill / Penang Hill). Among the group member, we discuss to allocate who to do which part of the assignment. So the first step is to do the proposal. In the proposal, we wrote about ....


before we start our proposal, we had done several research about Bkt Bendera.

Here are some contents in my group proposal:
Objectives: The main objectives of our website is mostly about promoting Penang since Bkt Bendera is one of the landmark in Penang which attracts numbers of tourists over years.

Demograpics: Since Penang is one of the most visited place by all range of people in Msia, we target all generations as our target audiences.

Sub-topics: After discussing, our members decided to set introduction, how to go, attraction, facilities and accomodation as the five sub topics in our website.

Job assigns: since we have 5 members, we agreed to separate the 5 sub topics to each members in order to save up time. I am in charge of introduction part. We will do all the further research and info required individually based on our sub topics. However, we will still work together in designing and working out the website.

After doing this proposal, there are still a lot of thing to follow up. Stay tuned!! =) 

layering_tutorial 2

1) create a new blank paper by naming it and choose it as international paper and A4 size.

 

2) Double click the background layer to unlock it and click OK.

3)To edit the background, i choose FILTER, >> TEXTURE, >> MOSAIC TILES.

4) move in a building by naming the layer as building. then i duplicate layer it. reduce the original layer opacity to 75 and change the blend mode to screen.

5) then i move in the MMU logo. i then change the opacity to 90.

6) then i use the horizontal type tool to type FOM by using segoe print. then i change to font size and then i right click the thumbnail to select the pixels. the i use gradient tool to adjust the color of the letter.

7) after that i use horizontol type tool again to write open day. then i change the size, font and color too.

8) then i select a group of people, i put it in front of the building. then i use show transform controls 

to adjust the size of the picture.

9) then i use rectangle tool to create a rectangle. i use filter >> sketch >> graphic pen to edit that. i move the layer under the building layer, so that it is behind it.

10) the use the horizontal type tool 

to write in all the details.

11) lastly, i move the Multimedia University by using move tool.
